Abstract
An overview of various research projects of the Realtime-Platforms group at ZHAW is given, highlighting new approaches in real-time signal processing, edge AI algorithms, hardware acceleration and fine-tuning at the edge, as well as federated learning. The selected projects make use of the latest embedded FPGA and GPU technologies and cover different real-world applications, including signal processing for atomic force microscopy, AI-supported kidney detection, battery-driven ultra-low power edge AI, and automated process monitoring in injection molding.
